I’m no expert, but here is the footage from over 2 months ago, when Bo was a panda… before I went crazy and chopped him up. This video is offered for use by PROFESSIONAL Stylists. I take no responsibility for the pet parents who attempt this. Please note the Hints & Tips at the end. […]
Whee! Talked a pet parent into a semi-permanent tail and temporary ears with hearts on her hips. Soooo cute!
I just finished this guy and I can even begin to express how proud I am of it! It’s a #1 clipper comb on the body (except for crest, obviously) and handscissored legs, head, and very well-blended crest. This is basically my first true Bichon cut, so I’m thrilled with the results! My handscissoring has […]
I designed my exotic animal Extreme Makeovers in Paint Shop Pro the other day, and then ordered a couple plushies from amazon to test on. Photo below! These are the exact same “breed model”, Aurora’s Maltese Puppy. After airbrushing the base yellow and the black legs, I brushed him out and, to my dismay, realized […]
You’d think grooming a “teacup” dog would take less time… they’re smaller, which means less mass, less hair, less time, right? Wrong. It takes me about 30-45 mins to complete an average-size shih tzu or yorkie after they’ve been bathed and dried. Today I had a teensy little yorkie mix, about 2 or 3lbs, whose […]
This is one of my FAVORITE request clients, Oscar. He has visited me once at Enchantment since I left PetSmart, and I can only HOPE that he comes back… his parents live across the street from my old Petsmart store, so Enchantment is about a half hour drive. This is an example of my teddybear […]
This gorgeous baby came to me matted to the skin. She was extremely mellow and let me gently demat her and put her in a shorter style that would be easier for her mom to maintain.
Here are a couple examples of how I scissor pomeranians. I shamelessly modeled my style after Rayne at PetSmart ABQ. She does her poms so round that they look like little puffballs… I’m not quite there yet. Also, in NM hand-scissored cuts are called Jemez trims, for whatever reason.
My first and only Brussels Griffon. His mom had hacked up his head, so it’s a little bit different from breed standard. Also, this was a pet groom, so clippers were used, not a stripping knife. I carded him at the end to retain the integrity of his coat as best as possible.
This is Maddie, a Bichon/Lhasa Apso mix from my PetSmart days in Las Vegas. I am uploading other favorites from my time at PetSmart. They will be clearly marked PetSmart Vegas or PetSmart ABQ.
