I hated the scandi attempt i made a few weeks ago and tweaked it today, moving her tuck-up forward and blending the line i put in there. I am pretty pleased with her body, though i don’t think it’s any specific haircut. I screwed up her legs trying to.make bevels when she didn’t have enough […]
This is my personal dog, Zorro, who is a butt for grooming but looks dary snazzy in a schnauzer pattern! I do a 4 reverse on the body and a westie-type head with yorkie-tipped ears (instead of the whole ear being shaved in true silky fashion).
This is one of my FAVORITE request clients, Oscar. He has visited me once at Enchantment since I left PetSmart, and I can only HOPE that he comes back… his parents live across the street from my old Petsmart store, so Enchantment is about a half hour drive. This is an example of my teddybear […]
This gorgeous baby came to me matted to the skin. She was extremely mellow and let me gently demat her and put her in a shorter style that would be easier for her mom to maintain.
Here are a couple examples of how I scissor pomeranians. I shamelessly modeled my style after Rayne at PetSmart ABQ. She does her poms so round that they look like little puffballs… I’m not quite there yet. Also, in NM hand-scissored cuts are called Jemez trims, for whatever reason.
My first and only Brussels Griffon. His mom had hacked up his head, so it’s a little bit different from breed standard. Also, this was a pet groom, so clippers were used, not a stripping knife. I carded him at the end to retain the integrity of his coat as best as possible.
This is Maddie, a Bichon/Lhasa Apso mix from my PetSmart days in Las Vegas. I am uploading other favorites from my time at PetSmart. They will be clearly marked PetSmart Vegas or PetSmart ABQ.
This lovely lady is Paloma and she’s in a lamb trim. When I saw her in the kennel I did a double take and knew I recognized her. When I pulled her out I immediately noticed the tiny patch of dark straight hair on her shoulder (picture below). This was a rather undisciplined poodle I […]
These two westies came in yesterday, black, matted, and in desperate need of a good clean up. Right before I left petsmart Rayne taught me the secret of poufy westie heads (as opposed to the rounded yet flat teddybear heads so many stylists, myself included, are inclined to do.) The secret is to do it […]
Here is a gorgeous adult male labradoodle turned into a st. Poodle. I’m pretty happy with how my topknots are turning out lately.
